CS ORIENTATION

The Company Secretary (CS) Orientation is an essential program designed to provide law students with a strong foundation in corporate compliance, governance, and administration. It offers comprehensive knowledge of corporate laws, legal frameworks, and company law, ensuring students understand their role in maintaining ethical business operations. Through this orientation, students gain practical insights into corporate governance principles, learning how to ensure businesses adhere to legal and regulatory standards. Additionally, the program emphasizes the development of interpersonal and communication skills, which are vital for company secretaries, who serve as key liaisons between the board, management, and stakeholders. By engaging with real-world case studies and discussions, students enhance their problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and ethical decision-making. The orientation also familiarizes students with business formation processes, boardroom dynamics, and regulatory reporting requirements, preparing them to navigate corporate challenges effectively. The event, Guest Lecture by Hindu Group, featured an insightful session by Mrs. Sridhar Aranala, Vice President – Sales and Distribution, The Hindu Group, on the topic "Leadership in the Modern World: Balancing Integrity and Progress." Attendees, including students and faculty, gained valuable perspectives on leadership, ethics, and adaptability in today’s evolving landscape. The lecture was followed by an engaging Q&A session, where participants actively discussed key takeaways. The event successfully fostered learning, inspiring attendees to apply these principles in their personal and professional journeys. 

1ST INTERNATIONAL LEGAL START-UP AND BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITION: LEGAL PITCH- MSC X LTC

The 1st Legal Pitch: International Legal Start-Up & Business Plan Competition, organized by the Law and Technology Committee and the Management Studies Committee of School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, was a flagship event designed to foster innovation in the legal domain. Law students from across India participated, pitching groundbreaking legal start-up ideas centered around Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain Technology to address real-world legal challenges. The event provided an unparalleled platform for participants to bridge the gap between legal education and business implementation, refining their entrepreneurial acumen through expert guidance, networking opportunities, and competitive presentations. By engaging in multiple rigorous rounds—screening, preliminary, and a final live pitch—students gained hands-on experience in legal-tech entrepreneurship, critical thinking, and problem-solving, preparing them for the evolving landscape of the legal industry. The competition concluded on a high note, leaving participants enriched with new perspectives, invaluable feedback, and the motivation to drive impactful change in the legal sector.

MOCK STOCK AND CRISIS MANAGEMENT EVENT 

The Mock Stock and Crisis Management Competition provided students with a real-world simulation of stock trading and corporate crisis management. Held on February 21, 2025, the event engaged 1st and 2nd  BA LLB and BBA LLB students, equipping them with hands-on experience in investment strategies, risk assessment, and financial decision-making. Participants acted as investors, analyzing market trends and managing virtual portfolios, while crisis scenarios tested their ability to apply corporate laws, financial regulations, and strategic problem-solving. The event emphasized critical thinking, teamwork, and negotiation skills, helping students develop a practical understanding of corporate governance and crisis resolution. By integrating accounting principles, company law, and business management concepts, students learned how to make informed financial decisions under pressure. This experience bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world financial challenges, preparing students for careers in law, finance, and corporate management. The competition fostered financial literacy, strategic leadership, and ethical investment practices, ensuring participants were well-equipped to navigate complex business environments and contribute effectively to the evolving corporate sector.
